Podiatrist/Chiropody Foot Clinic
Ada Chiu D.Ch. is a dedicated Chiropodist with experience in treating and preventing diseases and dysfunctions of the foot. Ada graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Biology. She then received her Chiropody training at the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences in Toronto, where she underwent 3 years of practical training in podiatric medicine, biomechanics, orthotic therapy, anesthesia and nail surgery. Ada is a registered member with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario.
As a primary foot care provider, Ada believes that a Chiropodist or Podiatrist can help children, adults and seniors with a variety of foot problems. In children, early detection of many foot problems such as flat feet can prevent later knee arthritis and scoliosis. The geriatric population can also benefit from Chiropody or Podiatry services for treatment of painful lesions resulting from the effects of diabetes, arthritis or other anomalies.
Dr. Adilson (Addy) Araujo, MD, CFPC; has been working at Mississauga Wellness for over 12 years and is one of the company's founders. He attended Medical School at the University of Western Ontario in London. This was followed by a 2 year Family Medicine residency at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto.
Dr. Araujo is actively involved in the Portuguese communities of Mississauga and Toronto. He is the co-lead Physician of the largest Family Health Group (FHG) of doctors in Mississauga. The Comprehensive Care FHG is comprised of 100 well respected and skillled Family Physicians.
Dr. Mona Seif, MD, CFPC; attended Medical School at Ain Shams University in Egypt. She also did some extra training in Cardiology before moving to Canada. Dr. Seif then spent 3 years in rural Manitoba completing her Family Medicine training.
Besides English, Dr. Mona Seif also speaks fluent Arabic. She has built a diverse family practice in the Mississauga area and loves treating patients of all ages and walks of life. Dr. Seif has a special interest in acute care and women’s health.
Dr. Sakeenah Ameen, MD, CFPC is a general physician practising family medicine in the GTA for 8 years. She graduated from Queen’s university and started her medical practise in Richmond Hill. She has been working in the Mississauga area for the past 2 years and is very excited to start Family practise at Mississauga Wellness Medical Centre.
Besides imparting general medical and walk-in care she will be doing well baby, prenatal and geriatric assessments as well. She is fluent in English and speaks many other languages including Hindi, Urdu and Gujarati. Dr. Ameen will focus on diagnosing and treating conditions of all ages while emphasizing preventative medicine and the overall health and wellness of her patients.
Liliana Kaczmarczyk, RMT,is a Registered Massage Therapist passionate about fitness and exercise. She is a graduate of Everest College. Liliana specializes in Swedish massage, Deep Tissue and Trigger point techniques as well as lymphatic and Hot Stone Massage.
Liliana’s experience is derived from a sports rehabilitation environment and she is determined to help our patients recover from injuries. Being fluent in another language should be convenient for the Polish speaking clientele of Mississauga Wellness.
Rajdeep Jhutty, RMT, graduated from Everest College in Mississauga and is an active member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). She has done extra training and is certified to perform Hot Stone Massage. Besides English, Rajdeep is also fluent in Hindi and Punjabi.
Rajdeep has gained experience treating a wide variety of clients with diverse needs and conditions, ranging from relaxation to deep tissue, prenatal to geriatric and sport related injuries. She uses several techniques ranging from general Swedish Massage, Myofascial Trigger points, Fascial work, Hot Stone and many other techniques to help her clients cope with aches and pains.
Sandra Shepherd is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. She is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and has been practicing for seven years.
Sandra specializes in Swedish massage and performs lymphatic drainage along with deep tissue and relaxation massage. She is also adept at joint mobilizations and fascial techniques.
Naturopathic Medicine & Acupuncture
Dr. Poonam Patel, BSc, ND, is a registered and licensed Naturopathic Doctor. She graduated from University of Toronto and pursued her Naturopathic degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). Dr. Patel, ND completed her internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic (RSNC) and at Sherbourne Health Centre (a community health clinic specializing in patients with HIV/AIDS) and has been treating patients for various concerns since 2005.
Dr. Patel, ND integrates a variety of naturopathic modalities in her treatments including nutrition and lifestyle counselling, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) including acupuncture, botanical medicine, homeopathic medicine, hydrotherapy and physical medicine. She completed her fellowship in homeopathy at the Canadian College of Homeopathic Medicine and has taken extensive training in prescribing bio-identical hormones for thyroid and women’s health concerns. These therapies provide Dr. Patel with a unique and comprehensive approach to enhancing health and wellness, diagnosing and treating illness and preventing disease.
Dr. Patel, ND is a licensed member of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO) and has taken the Ontario Prescribing and Therapeutics course and is licensed to prescribe according to CONO’s Prescribing Standard of Practice.
She is also a registered member with the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND). Dr. Patel, ND works collaboratively with all the healthcare practitioners at Mississauga Wellness to provide patient-centred care.
Rashmika Modi, RPT, is a Registered Physiotherapist in good standing with College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. She works for pain management and rehabilitation services with thorough knowledge of current physiotherapy skills. Rashmika has extensive experience treating Acute/Chronic conditions related to strains and sprains, sports injuries as well as post-surgery rehabilitation.
Rashmika is also certified with McKenzie Technique to treat common spine related problems like Sciatica or pinched nerves. She provides customized physiotherapy exercise programs based on individual functional abilities, age and interests. Rashmika will also treat with passive physiotherapy modalities during each treatment visit.
Tejash Modi, PT, is a registered physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and a member of Canadian Physiotherapy Association. He began his health care career as a physiotherapist overseas with experience in Musculoskeletal, Neurological and work related injuries. Tejash also worked with an Orthopedic Surgeon in India providing pre and post-operative rehabilitation.
Tejash has experience working with Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA) and Work Injury (WSIB) clients in Canada since 2010. He promotes a speedy recovery to his clients with a wide range of specialized treatments including manual therapies, technology-based modalities (machines) and prescribed therapeutic exercise programs.
